My creativity and crafting began at an early age with my grandmother teaching me to sew and crochet at age 7. A few years later my mother began the love of paper crafting by teaching me the origami she learned while living in Japan. I began a very strong love affair with painting, and beading as a teenager and even won several awards. It wasn't until I was pregnant with my second child, more than a decade ago, that I really fell in love with sewing and crochet again. Late uncomfortable nights with nothing else for this multi-tasker to do led to many costumes, clothes, and blankets. After the birth of my second child I acquired much in the way of fabric, yarn, and paper, and recycling.

In the past few years I have found that I am at my best when I am creating something. It is through being with my children, creating for them, and for loved ones I've found my purpose. Crafting is my purpose. Chatting with my children explaining the process, holding things out asking for their opinion. Having them assist me, and even teaching them some of the skills I've acquired over the years is truly when I'm at my best. Being with my children and creating. :) I can only hope to share a small piece of that with the world and with you.
